The Rose Trip Morocco Concept

The Rose Trip Morocco trek is a nomadic women's trek in the heart of the Moroccan desert, from October 26 to 31, 2023. In teams of three, the participants will take off for six days of adventure including three days of stages and a solidarity challenge, entirely dedicated to letting go and a total change of scenery. Rose Trip Morocco is a walking adventure reserved for women in search of adventure and self-improvement. Beginners and experts of trek are welcome on the starting line.

Orientation will be the highlight of this itinerant journey. The women's trios will evolve in the form of courses thanks to the only navigation instruments authorized by the rules of the trek: a compass to tame, a GPS distance meter to fill in and a map to decipher with the help of a topographic protractor!

A solidarity hike

The association Enfants du désert

Since its creation, Désertours has associated with the events it creates, new solidarity projects led by the association Enfants du Désert, chaired by Laetitia Chevallier. Its motto, "Learning to read, write and count is a right for all".

During the first two editions of the Rose Trip Morocco, the association undertook a project to raise goats for women with children who have no income. Since 2021, the association has been developing a project to help isolated women by enabling them to make carpets, requiring the purchase of looms.

The Pink Ribbon Association

Today, one woman in eight is affected by breast cancer. Since 2012, Désertours has been a partner of the Pink Ribbon association through actions carried out during all its 100% female adventures. It also participates in the Pink October event, which raises women's awareness about the prevention of the disease. The organization of the orientation trek Rose Trip wishes to support women in this ordeal and to work in favor of information and early detection.

In its solidarity section, the Rose Trip organization offers a sports challenge in the colors of the Pink Ribbon association. Each team brings its stone to the building in the fight against the disease. Let's all go... For a real collective solidarity challenge!

An eco-responsible event

Traveling the desert on foot and reducing its impact on the environment is a real desire on the part of Désertours. The Rose Trip trek is part of an eco-attitude approach where each team participates in the respect of the environment by walking, by keeping its waste until the refuelling points and by collecting those found on its way. In partnership with Surfrider Foundation, Désertours commits to recycle all the water bottles of the event.  

All hikers share the same desire: to preserve their playground that is nature and to make their environment as they found it, even cleaner.

In this logic, each bivouac is entirely cleaned after the departure of the Roses to contribute to the protection of the desert and more globally of the planet.
